Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 June 2026 · Draft v0.2
KiddoTube ("KiddoTube", "we", "us") is a service of 12N Labs that helps parents curate the video their children watch. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We designed KiddoTube to be privacy-first and to align with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regimes.
Who controls the account
KiddoTube accounts are created and controlled by a parent or legal guardian (18+). Children do not create accounts, log in, or provide information to us directly. A parent sets up profiles and approves the channels their child can watch.
Information we collect
From the parent
- Account details: email address and authentication data.
- Billing information, processed by our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers).
- Your approved channels, settings and preferences.
About a child profile
- A profile name or nickname and an age range that you choose.
- Which approved content was watched, to power the curated feed and parental controls.
We ask parents not to include a child's real full name or other identifying details in a profile. We do not knowingly collect more personal information from or about a child than is reasonably necessary to provide the service.
Automatically (inside the app)
- Account identifier (User ID). A unique ID we assign to your account to operate the service and to associate your settings with you.
- Product-analytics events. How the app is used — screens viewed, taps, features used — to understand and improve the product.
- In-app search. What you search for inside the app, to return results and improve content discovery.
- Diagnostics. Crash logs and performance data (such as launch time and errors) to keep the app stable.
- Purchase information. Your subscription status and purchase history. Payments are processed by Apple; we do not receive your card details.
This information is linked to your account so we can operate and measure the product. We do not use it for third-party advertising, and the app does not include advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs. We do not share it with data brokers or ad networks. (Our marketing website and quiz funnel use separate cookies and advertising-measurement tools — see "Cookies & tracking" — these are not part of the app.)
How we use information
- To provide and operate KiddoTube: whitelists, AI channel checks and the curated feed.
- To process subscriptions and the free trial.
- To improve, secure and support the service.
- To communicate with you about your account and the product.
YouTube, TikTok and Instagram
KiddoTube works with content from third-party platforms. Our use of YouTube data is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, and by using those features you also agree to be bound by them. Information handled through YouTube API Services is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. Content available on these platforms is owned by the respective platforms and creators; KiddoTube provides a curation and trust layer only.
Cookies & tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics (to understand how the site is used) and advertising measurement (to see whether our ads are effective). You can control cookies through your browser settings. This advertising/measurement tracking runs only on our website and quiz funnel — it is not present inside the app or in child profiles.
Service providers we use
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run KiddoTube. They process data on our behalf under agreements that limit their use of it to providing the service to us:
- Google Firebase (Google LLC) — account authentication, secure backend and app infrastructure. Subject to the Firebase Privacy and Security terms and the Google Privacy Policy.
- PostHog — product analytics and diagnostics, used to understand and improve the app. Subject to the PostHog Privacy Policy.
- Apple — processes subscription payments through the App Store.
These providers may store and process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with the service providers listed above, under contracts that limit their use of it, or where required by law. We do not share personal information with advertising networks or data brokers.
Data retention & security
We keep personal information only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law, and we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it.
Your rights & choices
- Access, correct or delete your account information.
- Delete a child profile and its associated data at any time.
- Withdraw consent and close your account.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at kiddotube@agentmail.to. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Legal bases (EEA / UK users)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on the following bases: to perform our contract with you (providing the service and processing subscriptions); your consent (where we ask for it, such as optional cookies on our website); and our legitimate interests in securing, supporting and improving the service. You can withdraw consent or object to processing at any time.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
KiddoTube is intended to be set up and operated by parents. We rely on the parent's consent for any information associated with a child profile, collect only what is reasonably necessary, and give parents the ability to review and delete that information. If you believe we have collected information from a child without proper parental consent, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will post the updated version here and update the "Last updated" date.
